Policies

REGISTRATION: All students must complete our online registration process and sign all liability waivers in order to participate in our classes/programs.

Attendance: We do not credit your account for missed classes, but will allow dancers to make up classes with another class that is currently offered in the level below their placement level or another class in their current level.
Students are expected to attend no less than 80% of their classes, and no more than 12 absences over the course of a year. Missing classes takes away from other students’ learning progress as the teacher has to reteach what has already been taught previously. Multiple absences can result in un-enrollment from classes.

Tuition: There will be a non-refundable $15 new account registration fee for all new accounts. Tuition is due on the 1st of the month using our auto-pay system. There are no refunds once payment is made, unless notice was given before payment was processed. Each month the fee is the same amount for the 2023-2024 season. (Except for summer session.) It is not prorated when there are more or less than 4 weeks in the month (this includes June.) There will be a $10 late fee charge for accounts not paid by the 10th. One month of non-payment will result in automatic un-enrollment with no refunds. Dancers will not be able to participate in class if payment is one month or more overdue. 

Photo/Video Release: The Compound Dance Complex will often use photos and/or videos of dancers in publications (such as flyers/brochures), advertisements (such as newspapers or online ads), our studio’s website, or on social media sites (such as the studio’s Facebook, Twitter, YouTube or Instagram account). In some cases, the child’s name may be used. No financial compensation will be for use of these photos/videos.

Weather Closures/Holidays/School Breaks:
We will generally follow the Redmond School District’s holiday/break schedule. We are CLOSED for the following Holidays/School Breaks: Labor Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving Break, Winter Break, Spring break, Memorial Day, and 4th of July. There will be no prorated payments for holidays. In the event of a district-wide school closure, we will follow the district’s lead.
In the event of classes cancelled due to poor weather or teacher illness an alternative class suggestion for a make-up will be made. Tuition will not change for months with school closures and breaks or holidays. We will be notifying families of these situations on our social media platforms and email.

BEHAVIOR: Students, Parents, siblings, staff, and guests of The Compound Dance Complex are ALL held to the same expectations regarding behavior. Fighting of any sort, whether in the class room or the hallway/lobby gives reason for immediate dismissal. Gossip regarding any students, family members, faculty, or guests can create unneeded pain and embarrassment. The Compound Dance Complex strives to be a safe place, do your part to keep it a sanctuary for all dancers.
